病理生理学( pathophysiology)是研究疾病发生、发展规律及其机制的科学,着重从功能与代谢的角度探讨患病机体的生命活动规律,其任务是揭示疾病的本质,为疾病的防治提供理论依据。病理生理学研究的对象是疾病,研究的目的是疾病防治,因此也是一门重要的临床医学课程,处于临床医学、基础医学和其他生命科学的交汇点,在医学教育和医学研究中发挥着枢纽性作用。
