这门课会讲什么？
本课程用英语加中文字幕的方式讲授北宋著名学者沈括和他具有世界影响的著作《梦溪笔谈》。该著作也是汉学家李约瑟曾经研究并高度赞颂的中国经典之一。在国际上，研究《梦溪笔谈》及其作者沈括被称为“梦学”，它横跨社会科学和自然科学诸多学科领域，是一门综合性的学科。 |  |

本课程利用慕课平台，用英语讲授，通过丰富的案例、通俗的形式和生动的语言，向观众展示近年来“梦学”研究所取得的一些重要的，特别是自然科学方面的成果。同时，着眼于沈括的人生经历和北宋的社会现实，以及古代中国的学术传统，探讨“创新型”人才的成长规律，专制主义时代学者的生存状态，古代中国科技发展的成就与不足等问题。旨在通过主讲人的讲授，在介绍学科、传授知识的同时，提高观众的科学和人文素养以及英语水平。
主创和主讲教师包括：科学哲学专业的钱斌教授、英语语言文学专业的姜敏副教授、安徽电视台英语主播赵芹老师，以及分别在英语语言教学专业、英语文学专业和法律英语研究领域研究和教学经验非常丰富的孟静老师、高扬老师和吴伶俐老师组成。
