Teach Me Trade Simulation is a course to practise export trade in the simulated trade environment.

Up to 2020, the course has trained more than 1,000 overseas students from France, Germany, the UK,  the USA, Canada, etc. 

 

1. Virtual simulation experiment design

     We use the self-designed course software to create a simulated trading environment, which you can easily access to by a web browser any time any where with Internet. 

 

2. Teaching philosophy

   Based on its philosophy —— Learning by Doing, this course adopts metacognitive learning strategies and encourages the participants to understand, learn and grasp the export business knowledge, skills and abilities. The teaching team, whose duty is more as the tutor than the lecturer, plays the role of adviser and supporter and assists participants to improve and professionalize their tasks.

 

3. Learning objectives

This course is designed for undergraduate business students and who are interested in international trade practice. In this course you will take the role as an intern in a Chinese trading company and will finish the tasks step by step according to the feedback from your customer and the request of your company. 

When you have successfully completed this course, you will be ready to enter the international trade with a real job with the following learning gains:

      1) Master export general procedures.

      2) Understand trade negotiations and learn to write business correspondence.

      3) Understand the principles of export pricing, and learn about the quotation calculation and the profit calculation.

      4) Learn to draft standard transaction terms and conditions in export contracts.

      5) Learn about basic payment methods in international trade, and get familiar with Letter of Credit settlement.

      6) Master the documentation in an Letter of Credit transactionon.
