Histology is a science which studies the microstructure of the human body and the relationship between the body’s structures and functions. Embryology is a science which studies the process and mechanism of the development from the fertilized ovum to the new individual. The purpose of learning histology and embryology is to better understand human physiological process and pathological phenomenon on the basis of mastering human microscopic structures, related functions and human genesis and development process, so as to lay a solid foundation for in-depth study of other medical foundation and clinical courses.Through the study of this course, the learners can establish the mind framework of morphological system, understand and master the basic theory of human microscopic structures and human development from four levels of cells, tissues, organs and systems, and can use the theoretical knowledge and related skills to analyze and solve the problems encountered in clinical practice.
